Fashion Show
This is an ironic fashion show where one does not see flashy and trendy clothes. The audience will feel uncomfortable and unable to breathe because this is not an ordinary fashion show, but a fashion show featuring clothing from second-hand recycled clothing. Through a suffocating fashion show, people are made aware of the dangers of fashion pollution and are reminded that fashion comes at a price.
Process and expectation
There are no lights in the space and the curtains block the light from the outside, so the only source of light in this dark space is the video playing on the stage. To make it more impressive and relevant to the theme, a real fashion show format is used. The models will walk in special costumes and the audience can find a seat in a pile of clothes when they enter the space.I hope that after this show the audience will be more interested in the topic of choosing organic and natural fibers that do not require chemicals to be produced to contribute to the sustainability and health of the planet.
User-experience
When the audience enters the space, they will see the darkness, the space is quiet and silent, and the audience may smell the smell of clothes and fabrics. As the audience starts to explore and walk into the space, they will feel some fabrics and clothes blocking their view. The audience will have to use their hands to remove the clothes, but because of the darkness, they cannot tell where the clothes are which make the audience will feel annoyed and uncomfortable.
When the audience is almost inside, the projection will start to show the video and the audience will get the light again. The seats are made of piles and piles of clothes, which are soft and can support the weight of the person, but the comfort is not satisfied because there is no backrest, but that is what I want to achieve. Once the audience found their seats, a model would enter through the door and start the fashion show. Perhaps some of the audience would be too focused on the content of the film and would be surprised by the sudden appearance of the model, which could bring a deeper impression to the audience. As the audience watches the models perform, they can use their imagination and speculation to understand what each outfit is trying to convey, and get a chance to think and reflect on it.
The content of the film is educational, such as how water is polluted and the impact of fashion waste on the planet. After the show, the curtains will be pulled back and the space will be bright enough for the audience to take a good look at the entire space, and they will find themselves surrounded by so many clothes.

Construction methods
The construction method was designed to 'minimize waste' and the materials used were all available from the second-hand market. To hang the clothes, we used screws and twine. We fixed the screws on the wall and tied them with twine to hang the clothes on the twine, which is the ceiling part. About the seat of the clothes, collect a lot of clothes and put them in different small piles on the floor, which is the floor part. For the clothes on the models, we can collect a lot of ribbons, textiles and clothes from the second-hand market and use brooch and strings to connect them, so as to minimize the damage to the clothes. After the show, the screws and twine can be sent to the second-hand market for recycling, and the clothes can be sent to 22 specific locations in Brisbane for clothing recycling.
Source of clothes
In keeping with the principles of sustainability, all materials used in the fashion show were sourced from second-hand markets, recycled landfills and collected from the resources around us. For the clothing, there are three sources. First, we collect our own outdated and ill-fitting clothes and fabrics, and use the clothes we no longer wear for their final use and value. Secondly, collecting clothes from friends can reduce waste and promote awareness of recycling clothes. Third, most of the clothes in the second-hand market are very new, and the people in charge of the market will disinfect the recycled clothes, so buying second-hand clothes can help reduce fashion waste and ensure hygiene. About the form of the stage instead of the usual iron or wood construction. In order to avoid the waste of materials, the stage will be projected in the form of a screen. More effects can be projected on the floor to imitate the effect of the stage or a video about fashion waste can be shown and to enhance the audience's sense of presence. Clothing is a human necessity. There are so many ways to recycle and donate clothes. There are 126 locations to choose from in Brisbane. After the event, the clothes can be delivered to these locations, which is reallt sustainable development without any waste
